In reply to the discussion: LA ICE PROTEST, COMMUNITY HITS BACK [View all]wnylib
(25,317 posts)I can understand the anger. But expressing it by throwing rocks accomplishes nothing constructive. If it were possible to halt the ICE agents from putting people into their vans I might support that idea.
Or, I might just smile if someone could get close enough to the tires of the ICE vehicle(s) to flatten them without being caught. It would at least temporarily delay ICE.
But I'd rather see peaceful protests with signs about human rights and due process, pictures of Adolf Trump in a short mustache, and people taking videos of the ICE agents and the people being arrested. At least with photos the relatives and friends of the arrestees would know what happened to them and Trump's henchmen wouldn't be able to disappear them. Another sign I'd like to see is, "We are witnesses. The whole world is watching."
Somebody with a bull horn could read the 4th, 5th, and 6th amendments from the Bill of Rights.
