30. OK but I wish folks here would

keep in mind that such a union, even thought it would understandably appeal to many Americans, would decidedly not be in Canada's interest, in part, because:

. the number of Magats becoming Canadian would possibly exceed the present Canadian population (and Canada would in effect cease to exist).

. Quebec would have a shit-fit as their French language & culture would become even more irrelevant and difficult to sustain.

. the overall result would be two relatively weakened countries, at least militarily and economically, rather than one v strong.
