Inspector Javert for all his problems, at least sought to enforce the letter of the law, if not allowing for the spirit thereof.
Trump is no Javert. He has no care for laws at all and the type of cognitive dissonance that Javert experiences
is completely foreign to him. Javert was in the end, capable of self reflection.
