This is according to the book written by Anonymous--the same one from the NYT articles. That was one of many policies they stopped Trump from doing in the first term including sending migrants to Guantanamo Bay.

I agree the truth is bad enough. The OP did say modern day so not everything is exactly the same but it is a starting point when it comes to Trump
