must learn to buy ONLY absolute necessities, share less frequently used tools with family, friends and neighbors. Shop the thrift stores, make do and do without. Avoid the chain stores and food chains!
Stay at home vacations, visit the museums and attractions where you live!
Use public transportation, walk, ride a bike.
Build your savings account.

If you have garden space, grow your own vegetables and herbs. Plant a fruit tree...
