(37,447 posts)My post was addressing the limitations in the EO (purportedly defining birthright citizenship), and the Supreme Court's decision. Citizenship is related to deportation - BUT none of the deportations so far,, that I'm aware of, are relying on the EO's interpretation of citizenship.
They are certainly deporting anyone brown they think they can get away with deporting. But they aren't deporting them because of the EO on citizenship (or because of the court decision today). The citizens they are deporting are children deported with their parents (often by tricking their parents), they are deporting citizens because of administrative screw ups. I haven't heard a single claim that they are deporting someone who isn't a citizen because of the EO. The only one that comes close is the Thomas one in another thread - but he wasn't born on US soil, and his citizenship was determined in 2016 (not after the EO on citizenship).
