(25,317 posts)55. Very true, and it worries me that most people don't see it.
This is a pattern that was followed in Nazi Germany. Demonize a target group that most people won't defend. Paint them as criminals who need to be treated roughly. Raise the restrictions on those people incrementally so that they and the general population get desensitized to the injustice. Then expand the target to other groups, including political dissidents.
