Fighting hard does not necessarily mean the fight is based on lies. That's what Republicans do. Democrats have the truth on their side, so they need to push the truth, but with more ferocity, more repetition, and more volume, in other words "with more fight".

Democrats turn a real something into a nothing by not making their honest arguments with "more ferocity, more repetition, and more volume" than they now do (as noted in the prior paragraph). That's true over a range of issues we lose in the public square because of our relatively weak messaging.
