38. Why do these people always tell us how great it is up there and they're just passing thru to the promised land

And yet disrespect the temporary home with pollution and trash it and when a tragedy occurs they say thank god I made it..I’m so glad to be alive..let’s pray for the poor souls who lost their lives, etc.? Which is it? Why are they so thankful to be alive when they can’t wait to go to heaven?
