Just one example; every Democrat in the House except one, voted against the CR in March, voted to take a stand, expecting the Senate to follow suit. Chuck Schumer knee capped the House and he and enough Senators allowed the CR to pass with a mere majority.

Krasnov got what he wanted and Democrats got absolutely nothing. The Big Ugly Death Bill was given the green light.

Schumer was afraid of being blamed for a government shutdown, the majority of Congressional Democrats wanted safeguards for the safety social net before allowing the CR. Schumer then went on Chris Hayes and stated that Krasnov will burn it all down and then we will win the next election. he actually said that.

Democrats are fantastic at governing but that message gets trampled by the right wing echo machine.

There was a question here about a month ago asking who was the best president in our lifetime? Many people picked Bill Clinton who signed welfare reform into law, and signed the Telecommunications Act into law which allowed a handful of people to control the MSM. That Act resulted in right wingers buying up news outlets to spread its right wing propaganda. That Act put Democrats behind the 8 ball for getting its messages out.
