In reply to the discussion: The next election cannot primarily be Democrat vs Republican... [View all]Oopsie Daisy
(6,670 posts)4. Oh good grief. "Democrats rank lower than Donald Trump" ... yeah, let's all spread that around!
>> Trump and the Republican propaganda machine have effectively and successfully torn down the Democratic Party name.
Actually, it's not just the "Republican propaganda machine" that continues to spread the lies that "both parties are the same" along with the lie that "Democrats are cowards and have no backbone" or the lie that "Democrats are corrupt" etc etc. That shit was really amplified with the "leave it blank" and the "undecided" campaigns.
Actually, the only thing that's "not rational" is the premise that this is entirely the work of the GOP, when the treachery and betrayal and LIES of others is ignored (or in many cases, amplified and spread.)
>> The divide and conquer strategy has been very effective for them.
It's been very effective for disaffected and resentful folks who promote third party voting or who (in spite of their declared allegiances and registrations) refuse to endorse, campaign for, or even vote for our party's nominee/s.
This is just, yet another, post among many that take delight in shitting on Democrats and the Democratic party by portraying us as "worse than the GOP" or "more hated than the GOP" and promoting the false idea that "Democrats are incompetent" and that we're "not rational and don't know what we're doing".
Please. Stop. This serves no good purpose.

Shitting on the Democratic party is NOT the way to convince people to support the Democratic party.

I saw a strongly worded email from a Both Sides leader yet again blaming Democrats for Trump.

You have to appeal to those who don't vote or don't vote for the brand just because it's the brand.

Then they're scolded like Biden was, "It's not good enough for him to rest on his laurels."
