Politics has turned into a uniquely American identity lifestyle religion-like ignorance war.

The Democratic Party is a normal political party, members normal human beings trying the best they can to improve American lives. Trying to pass legislation and govern while everyone else is off having emotional melt-downs about the fictional cartoon villain Democratic Party they've created.

Used to be that occasionally an entertainer was elected to office and then have to learn to be serious, now everybody elected to office has to lean to be entertainers.
