In reply to the discussion: The wreckage Merrick Garland leaves behind [View all]OldBaldy1701E
(8,762 posts)105. Yeah, and...
My opinion is Garland and Biden could have never pursued Krasnov. The magas would have taken to the streets and it would have been armed protests not our cute sign protests.
And, they would have been mowed down just as those traitors who stormed the Capitol in 2021 should have been. The MAGA who would actually get out to do something would have been taken care of just as easily. They were attacking the center of government. They were not there to 'protest', they were there for blood.
I mean, I certainly don't recall hearing chants of "We want change!" and "Fairness in Elections!" from those assembled when I saw the various videos of the event. They wanted to kill Pence and Pelosi on sight.
It would have been a national disaster, my opinion from personally knowing many maga, they will protect and defend their right to hate and their president.
Do you really think that? You think that Meal Team Six is going to actually be a threat to our law enforcement, other than the occasional ambush on police that would inevitably happen? I mean, besides those in law enforcement who have 'drunk the kool-aid' so to speak?

Face it, there is an undercurrent of people in positions of power and privilege that do not want this to stop or change. Otherwise, we would not be here in the first place.
Either justice is blind, or it is not. We don't get to pick and choose when to apply it. In the case of that orange gibbon, justice was NOT served. Why should we continue to want the 'return to the rule of law' when it has failed us so badly?

Beating him on policies, at debates, matching him rally for rally, etc. Instead, we forgot the basics. Does that help?

Believe if you give people somthing to vote for - rather than trying to convince them to vote against - they will come.
