(4,523 posts)the only times I would not vote for the Democratic candidate in a general election, would be, if they proposed or voted for Maga policies, far more often than they do Democratic Liberal ones(like 75 percent of the time), or were a convicted felon. Even then I still wouldn't vote Republican. I'd probably vote for an independent or write in. Thankfully so far I haven't had to do that.
For example, if Schumer has a challenger, in his next primary, who was willing to go after the Magats no holes barred, I'd totally vote for that person over Schumer, who disagrees with Republicans, but seems unwilling to fight against them tooth and nail. If Schumer beat the challenger, I wouldn't be happy about his win, but would still vote for him in the general election.
I believe in being loyal, but not blindly so, like Magats.
