8. He has a point

The focus on affordability was pretty much why Mamdani won the nomination. It’s also part of the resason Trump won the last election. Unfortunately inflation, while going down in the latter part of Biden’s term, was still up over when he took office.

The problem is that being a self proclaimed socialist probably won’t win outside of NYC, but the reality is you don’t have to call yourself a socialist to address affordability. And well, now that Trump is literally having the government buy stakes in private companies, well… not sure we need to hear about how sacrosanct the free market is from so called conservatives.
