2. If you have ever been to Yosemite, you may have passed by this community on your drive.

If you reached Yosemite by Hwy 120 from the Central Valley side, that is. Hwy 120 is the road which passes through Yosemite and over Tioga Pass/through Tuolumne Meadows and reaches Hwy 395/Lee Vining/Mono Lake on the other side of the Sierras.

Chinese Camp is just past where Hwy 120 splits off from Hwy 108, both highways having occupied the same roadway from down at Oakdale up to that split called Yosemite Junction.
