quoting John Bolton, who said Trump thinks the world is divided into winners and losers; Trump considers himself a winner and therefore he should get the Peace Prize. It also bothers him a lot that Obama got it even after having been president for only a short time. The Norwegians realize that Trump probably either doesn't understand or doesn't care that the government doesn't control the Nobel committee, and they are prepared for blowback - their attitude seems to be, "Whatever; bring it on."
