If it was just the Orange Mussolini, the right would just put it out there saying its Fake News or Deep State or whatever. But if it's many others that don't have the luxury of brain dead followers, there could be trouble in fascist town. Some representatives might actually have constituents who care about children and don't like those who molest them.
