It wasn't an MRI. It was a CAT Scan. So what is the difference between what one uses each one to search for? [View all]

He was asked if he had an MRI. He answered in the affirmative, "I had an MRI." BUT he was moving his arm forward and backward when describing his MRI.

Problem is, you are stationary in MRI's. You move in and out of a CAT scan..

So what might physicians be looking for with a CAT scan?
