For one, his ear damage was superficial and may not have involved ear cartilage at all (the ear is not all cartilage, especially the ear lobe).

Are you familiar with the term "frozen with fear". Things happened very quickly - sudden shock sometimes takes a while to dissipate.

Do you think something "staged" would actually involve firing a bullet v close to Trump's head and with spectators in the background likely to be hit?

And did someone in on the plot then shoot the shooter, all w/o being detected?
