I suspect, as they have been coming up for a justification, members brought this into the conversation. I firmly believe the money games brought about in the Abraham Accords opened up this can of worms. BiBi has been pushing his animosity for years. MBS decided to diversify his economy during his takeover. Trump is the perfect catalyst. The Sunni gravitation to the west has unsettled the Shia. October 7 appears to be a grenade into the Accords. MBS went to trump as has BiBi setting up to pick the fruit when it was ripe. It is the grift that moved the donald.
China needs oil, yes, but the real estate crash, the gigantic idle inventories, banking crises et al have forced them to make adjustments. They manage.
Trump's people have no script to work from. Scuttlebut in the press is referring to your kind of analysis. So while that story seems to be coming out, I don't think it ever crossed trump's inner circle brain. They seem to trip over escapes.
