In reply to the discussion: A tweet from Jasmine Crockett [View all]hamsterjill
(17,438 posts)30. I am really happy to see this. She's shown she is a champion with this!
I was Talarico all the way, but I realized every step of that way the value of Crockett. Texas just isn't ready for her statewide, and THAT is Texas loss' - at the moment. But she WILL have another chance, I promise you. She is not finished and she is not done, and I am happy for being able to say that.
This concession is exactly what is needed, and she showed grace and unity and civility. THIS Is what it's all about, and THIS is knowing that anyone (i.e., the individual) is NOT as important in this particular fight as the many are important. She understood the assignment.
Kudos, Ms. Crockett!!!!

Personally I'd like to see Talarico bring Crockett into his organization...

Because if you don't live in Texas, you don't understand how things work down here.

Jasmine Crockett was clearly tryingto keep the party united, because of the BIG picture.

EXACTLY! Sometimes people forget that an election is a choice between A or B

If you followed this primary election, you know it had nothing at all to do with that.

He had too big a lead for what happened in Dallas County to make a difference in the election.

Absolutely. She would have been elected in a nanosecond in one of the sane states.

I hope Crockett soon gets back in Congress. She is a breath of fresh air sorely needed.

She works within the confines of our government. Despite good intentions and hard work she is limited.

They should both fight to make sure that every vote cast in Dallas County is counted.

The Texas Supreme Court's edict in the middle of voting really pissed me off.

Jasmine has already conceded. I didn't see the final tally to know whether they did or didn't.
