The last three past DNC chairs were Tom Perez, Tim Kaine, and Howard Dean. Perez and especially Dean did great jobs, and the three of them did better than Harrison ,Wasserman Schulz and Brazile.

I'm a fan of DNC chairs that work quietly behind the scenes and run an effective party organization. It's a large uphill battle against a Russian-style oligarchic national media, but if we're not communicating effectively, it's the outward-facing party leaders who shoulder the blame. We need better versions of or better messaging from Schumer, Jeffries and Newsom (although his social media guy is a national treasure).
