Pinellas pastor and wife ran Home Depot theft ring for years. Now they face prison [View all]
A former Pinellas County pastor and his wife were sentenced to prison this month after a jury found them guilty of operating a multimillion-dollar Home Depot theft ring for nearly a decade.
After a two-week trial, Robert and Jaclyn Dell were convicted in February for selling stolen power tools on eBay from Home Depot stores across seven Florida counties. Prosecutors said the couple earned more than $2 million between 2015 and 2023.
Robert Dell, 59, was charged with five felonies, including racketeering and money laundering. Jaclyn Dell, 41, was charged with one felony count of conspiracy to commit racketeering.
The stolen goods were delivered nightly to the Dells St. Petersburg home by two people the couple met through an addiction recovery program they helped lead at The Rock Church, where Robert Dell was once a pastor.
