On the night of 911 they sent the first family into the bunker, but when he was reading My Pet Goat to the school kids in Florida, the Secret Service let him stay and read after he knew the nation was under attack. His visit to the school wasn’t a secret—it was publicized. Anyone who wanted to take him down would have found him there. And what about the school kids he was putting at risk by staying? Yet AFTER the attacks when the entire nation was on full alert they send them to the bunker. That whole equation has never added up for me.
