Wisconsin Driver Removes 'Road Closed' Barrier and Drives Straight Into Freshly Poured Concrete [View all]
A driver in Milwaukee County, Wisconsin, decided he didn't feel like reading signs anymore and totaled his car in record time. A removed "road closed" barrier and a trip straight to concrete oblivion did the trick.
The tragic, albeit widely considered hilarious, incident occurred at the I-41/894/US 45 and National Avenue interchange. According to a pun-filled post shared by the Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WDoT), that's where the driver's weekend plans started to "crack."
The WDoT detailed that a driver, who remains unnamed, probably for his own sake, had decided to physically remove a "road closed" barrier. Set on his destination and showing a complete lack of "solid" judgment, the individual drove right into freshly poured concrete.
A photo of the pickup amid its "sticky" situation was also posted online. And as if the whole situation wasn't humiliating enough in itself, the internet decided to have quite a bit of fun with the stuck driver.
