the evangelical mask will come off the TX GOP. The self-styled conservatives will reveal themselves for what they are: apostates kneeling before a golden calf, treating religion as just another tool of power. Once faith no longer serves their ambitions, it is discarded, reduced to a meme they themselves no longer believe (e.g., Conservative Family Values... the mere mention of it today wounds them as they struggle to forget its now-inconvenient existence)
