Personally I think the Dems should be more aligned with what Americans actually want with regards to immigration. Then maybe our candidates would win and continue to handle illegal immigration and excessive legal immigration* with reasonable and ethical policies. I am aware that Biden/Harris DID achieve some things to mitigate the immigration situation. But they failed at advertising and tried to please everybody with their positions.

* excessive legal immigration: see H-1B abuses, for example. I don't think we'll ever know - or some will never admit - how bad H-1B has fucked over this country and the goal of electing Democrats.
