In reply to the discussion: New Nasa data hints we could be living inside a black hole [View all]LiberalArkie
(19,206 posts)33. Judging by the original article both dates could be correct. Our universe inside our black hole could be 13.8 billion.
But the universe with the black hole containing our universe could be a trillion years old. Maybe more, maybe less.
Kind of like a single brain neuron (thinking?) that it is the whole body? (If that makes any sense at all)
After reading the article I remembered a discussion in high school physics about what if the newly discovered things called "black holes" contained another universe? Since the black hole consumes matter and matter can neither be created or destroyed but can be transformed, it would be a semi logical thought to same the matter from the planets and suns became the matter for a big bang to happen creating a new universe.
Huh?

I am on your side of black hole reasoning. Once matter is inside the hole (or sphere) is stabilizes. n/t

I keep wondering if we're truly just some complicated game, that's playing by a superior..

Last I checked, scientists had argued against universe being the inside of a black hole.
