Superman's All-American image really rankled the sawed-off little shitmeister. So he started calling Superman a "Jewmonger". He was almost certainly aware that Superman's creators were Jewish. And that when Superman wasn't battling Supervillains, he was fighting greedy landlords, union-busters, gangsters, and others making the Depression more miserable for the people of Metropolis.
