The strike began at midnight last Monday after the union overwhelmingly rejected the company's final contract offer.

More than 3,000 union workers at Pratt and Whitney are now in their second week of striking.

Snip: Union leaders say they're fighting for job security, pensions, and wages that keep up with inflation.

Today, several lawmakers and state officials are expected to visit the picket line.

Those include Rep. Joe Courtney, state Treasurer Erik Russell, and Sen. Richard Blumenthal.
