The mind and the heart say one thing, the body says "what the hell are you thinking!" Especially when you go back in your mind to all the marches and sit ins you were involved in when you were young!

I'm going to a No Kings rally in one of the city's I used to live in when I moved up here. There are two scheduled for about a mile apart, and an hour apart. We'll start at the first and when it's finished, walk down to the second one about a mile away. I'm already making plans on what to take that will let me walk that mile without my hip buckling on me. But damn it, the rally this week, feels important to be a part of. They're all important, don't get me wrong... but trump has pushed the envelope too far this past week to just participate virtually this time. My intuition is telling me we're on the cusp of something major happening... and I can't tell whether its good or bad. Just that its not something to miss.

I know how those holds felt on Padilla. I was part of P.A.R.T. training (Physical apprehension and restraint techniques) when I was in the Air Force. We learned those and more, and that was back in the 70's. It's only gotten more intense since then.
