when abortion was still illegal:

Do you know what you call a couple that practices rhythm birth control?...........Parents.........

Back then, if a girl got knocked up and her parents were rich, their personal Doctor would perform a "D & C" which in reality is an abortion, but D & C's were legal........or, The Girl would suddenly go to study "A Semester Abroad" at a Scandinavian Country where abortions were legal.
