...I just loved the whole idea of Israel. Born of the WW2 tragedy, and setting an example for the rest of the world. Obviously, as a 10 year old, my worldview was small, but still, it was easy to root for their success.

What they've (the state of Israel) become since then is so hideous it borders on farce. How could they let themselves approach Nazi-levels of cruelty? Don't answer. I know what's happened. Purely a rhetorical question.
