2. I have full coverage and it sure as hell doesn't cover mechanical repairs unless I'm in a wreck

More and more they instantly total a car anyway even for some fender benders because repair costs are so high. Someone hit my second car, dented the fender, their insurance company totaled it, gave me 7k bucks, I paid the 2.5k left on the car loan got to keep it and fixed it myself for less than 1k (so paid myself about 4k). I thought it was insane but it was all legal, I checked.
