Advantage plans can work out as long as the care you need is in the network, and accessible. You must get pre-approval to see a specialist. UHC turns down over 30% of these requests. So yes, as long as you pretty much need only routine checkups, they’re fine.
If you go that route you must check every year to make sure your providers are still in the plan. They change all the time.
