Why is the the supposed-to-be president of the united states getting involved with where a soda pop is made and what's in it?

Meanwhile, the government is shut down and millions of people are about to lose their healthcare.

Why doesn't Trump just leave this kind of shit up to his pet Kennedy? (I can see it now, "New Whale Juice Coke. It's cetaceously delicious!" )
