In reply to the discussion: McConnell says a fall led to his hospitalization, breaking weeks of silence about health condition [View all]hamsterjill
(18,078 posts)57. Apologies. I misread the link on Wilson.
If politicians are getting away with this - which they obviously are - then this is something that I would add to the list of things we need to fix when Democrats get back into power.
My opinion is that constituents should be entitled to know the ability of their elected representatives to be able to actually and physically represent them at all times. When someone seeks public office, there is an expectation for a loss of privacy to a degree, at least. That should include being healthy enough to do the job for which they were elected.
Just my two cents...
Have a great evening!!!

I don't disagree that they should. But as pointed out, he's not the first who didn't do so.

Video showed the moment he went down. It wasn't a fall, it was loss of consciousness.

I'm marking this report as bullshit until we see him in a video that provides enough context to prove it is not AI.

It's a very good statement that is either true or was carefully crafted to read as true. It sounds human, not......

I feel like if the explanation was indeed this simple, that they would have made it weeks ago.
