2. I read the article. The Idaho House of Representatives can "ask" whatever they want.

Courts, especially the Supreme Court, don’t respond to “asks.” There must be a case, that works its way from the district court, to the appellate court. Then, the Supreme Court would have to grant cert in order to hear the case.

I don’t doubt that this Court would like to overturn Obergefell, but it isn’t going to happen because a political body asks them to.
