5. just checking his claim of "2 years to build a magnet"

here is a nail and a d cell in my desk drawer. i think i have a little piece of 16 ga wire on the shelf. there it is. a little tape to hold the wire to the battery terminals.. well whadda ya know. magnet.

i get that these rare earth magnets are strong and light, but this is america, we were looking for strong light magnets when somebody tried rare earth alloys, there are assuredly alternative technologies, but, gosh darn, somebody fired the researchers.

and as a last resort. the richest man in the world, with factories in china, should be able to buy whatever he needs.
