This guy has a good grasp of what's at stake.

Putin is already looking weak, something a strongman dictator can't afford to do. Getting shellackred by the Ukrainians would finish him. It would be another clusterfuck in Russia like the early 90s because he has made damned certain no one is in any position to take over from him. There will be a power vacuum and those can be horrendous.
