I tell people cataracts were the best thing that ever happened to my eyes.

Same here. I could never adapt to contacts. After cataract surgery could see my feet in the shower for the first time.

Honestly, if born in 1800s I'm not sure I would have survived because seriously doubt I could have found lenses

Get my left eye done on the 11th. After the right eye, I kept closing one eye and looking at the yellow snow.
