2. The finches do that a lot at my bird feeders,...

.... but mine is male/female stuff.

The male at around mating time will dance, chirp, and sing to the female at the bird feeder to win her heart.

Then after they consummate the relationship the female now goes after the male at the feeder. Relentlessly I might add,... she will actually make a nuisance out of herself at the feeder. Chasing him around, nudging, and poking him until he takes a sunflower seed. Removes the outside husk covering and then puts the meaty part of the sunflower seed in her mouth. Talk about room service, she gets the five star fancy hotel treatment.
