Showing Original Post only (View all)We are home... here are the driving test results [View all]
Yesterday I spent the day studying. I took the AARP Smart Driver Online Course. $27 well spent. I also had a lot of time on the Nebraska online practice test: https://www.nebraska.gov/dmv/practice/ I spent some more time on it this morning.
Marta dropped me off. Our son lives near the rehab, so they went shopping. I paid for the written test first. I did well for my age and diagnosis. Then I paid for the driving test. It was several miles of all kinds of situations. I made a few small mistakes. I was so nervous.
We finished the test. He handed me my report card. I passed, NO RESTRICTIONS!

I texted Marta to come get me. We took Steve to a celebratory late lunch. Not a cloud in the sky. The weather report did call for rain. By the time we were ready to leave, it was pouring rain. We got Steve home. Ten minutes after that, both our phones went into alarm mode. TORNADO WARNING! Then the hail hit. Twenty minutes of driving in light hail. We will check the car tomorrow for damage. The dogs hate thunder. They were glad we got home to calm them down.
It's been a day.
Thank you all for the support I received this week about my driving.

The National Weather Service in Valley issued a brief tornado warning Thursday afternoon for much of Omaha and Council Bluffs as a severe storm moved across the area.

Well done! You're such a useful DUer! You certainly deserved to have the tornado go somewhere else.
