18. Are you eligible for Medicaid?

I live in rural Colorado where there is no public transportation to speak of. However the state of Colorado and Medicaid got together and now Medicaid will allow low income folks to get an unlimited taxi rides to get medical care. They also allow two non medical rides a week so people can go to the grocery store or the library or wherever.

Also, my county has a low cost ride service that most local residents here qualify for. Google the name of your county and "transportation." Can't hurt to check.

I'm sorry you had to give up your car. I had to give up on my truck when its repair bills got higher than what it was worth. Being without a vehicle makes doing even the smallest thing which involves transportation feel impossible. I hope you will be able to work some things out.
