When I was a teenager, my whole family drove to Florida and took our then new puppy Andy, a tri-color sheltie, with us. In the middle of the night, we stopped at a rest area in South Carolina and soon discovered we had parked on a bees nest. Andy was catching the bees in his mouth as we sped away. His snout swelled comically for a few hours but he was otherwise okay. I always wondered why we didn't need to take him to a vet and now I know. He really was okay.
