(2,460 posts)69. I bought a new Toyota Celica in 1986.
That Celica was the best car I've ever had. Had it for 14 years and 220,000 miles. Would've bought another one but by then Toyota wasn't making them any more. I have some other things that I don't use very often, but when I do need them, I'm really glad I have them. For example, a device that plugs into my cigarette lighter and pumps up my tires. A portable fold-up chair. My first VCR, a Betamax that I bought in December 1977, a little before the VHS format came out, and wow, did I ever get a lot of use out of that thing. I'd have to think some more about this; I'm sure I can think of more things.
