25. I have my Mom's smallish one--I don't (and haven't done fried chicken) but searing meats is where it excels.

I would not have kept one of those more common "giant" versions, but this one is light enough and small enough that I still pull it out for searing--even though I COULD do it in my InstaPot or other stainless pans. Steaks, porkchops, breaded fish, chicken breasts, bacon, sauted vegetables and eggs... it is great. And nostalgic...

If you had one of those more common comparatively enormous cast-iron skillet, I dont' blame you for a minute in getting rid of it.
