(39,749 posts)35. I don't remember not being able to read. I do remember learning how to talk.
While the rest of the class was learning how to read, kindergarten through third grade, I was spending time with the speech therapists or was off in the corner reading or writing my own assignments.
I probably have some issues processing spoken language that go well beyond "not listening" and there have been times in my life where it's cost me.
