So here's the interesting connection.
Good friend of mine from high school days moved up here to Tahoe to take a job at the community college about a year ago. We haven't seen each other much but here and there we connect and he was nice enough to give me a ride to the grocery store so I could get groceries to last me through whenever..
We started talking about the college life and I mentioned something about wishing I could be an academic circles and he was telling me to look on a college job board and I mentioned something about my class that I used to give and the lady who ran it megan. And he's like oh my God Megan is my bestie, I love her she's awesome...
so the light bulb went off and I realized it was a synchronicity.
So I went on the college connect website and downloaded the application because it's been seven or more years since I did my last class. I emailed Megan and told her that I'd like to reboot the class and that I had downloaded the application.
She replied within less than 24 hours (even though she was not in the office Friday) she replied to me *that evening* and said... "tell me what days and give me a class description and I'll get you in the schedule!"
So I'm going to shoot for Tuesday evenings and also Saturday midday afternoon giving our flexible work schedule people here in tourism country a chance to participate!
Also, what's interesting is that this is my material, my baby, I developed this class and put it together. And I was not as confident in myself or my abilities as I am now, especially after taking those anthropology classes!
Everything happens for a reason right?
Ironically also, I went to go change some things on my website and polish it and revamp that page about the classes, and my website is suspended for non-payment LOL
So I guess it is time to start over... Again! LOL
Having people in the class and the backing of the college as legitimacy, will also get me clients for my sound therapy so I'm excited
